This is Portia and Dean's dad, Charles, my dad's younger brother. He was several years younger than dad. He was born around 1895.

Charles farmed first, down around Arispe (Iowa), then he went down to the Blockton area and bought an elevator, then he went into the fuel business. He had wholesale/retail farm fuel --and tires down at Newmarket, Iowa. He had something to do with farming practically all his life.
