FERNE, who was married several times, married REX BAKERINK in 1934 and had one son, LARRY. She was a very special person to me, and after my Mother passed away we became very close. She lived in Creston, Iowa, and was good to her Mother and my Mother. FLOYD, who was born in 1908, attended Capital City Commercial College in Des Moines, Iowa and started working for the Central National Bank in 1928. He married Maisie Lowenburg and they had two children, JIM and CHARLENE. JIM spent several summers with Leo and Luretta and is still living. FLOYD passed away in 1963 at the age of 54, and their daughter Charlene is also deceased.

Note: This sequence of four photos (#15 - #18) shows the children of LEONARD and ADELIA MURPHY MADDEN. LEONARD was the son of GEORGE and ADALINE KINSER MADDEN, my Grandfather JOHSUA'S oldest brother. LEONARD and DELIA (as she was called) lived across the field from my family, and the children spent a great deal of time with them. When I say "my family", I'm speaking of my Mother's Mother, OPHELIA BLISS MADDEN, and her children: JOHN, LUTHER, GORDON (TOM), NONIE, and RUTH, all of whom never married. Leonard's children have told me of many happy times spent with my family. They are all deceased now.
