ORA BELLE, the eldest daughter of NORA / NORAH MADDEN and ELI CLEM, was born 31 August, 1880 in Kent, Iowa. NORA was my Grandfather Joshua's sister, and her son FRANK was mentioned with JOHN MADDEN in another picture.

ORA BELLE married JESSIE COLFAX McDUFFIE on 3 March, 1896, and they were the parents of 12 children who were all born in Washington where they lived, except LOIS, who was born in 1901, and ARTHUR, who was born in 1908, in Iowa. I don't know whether they moved back to Iowa or ORA was just visiting because their son LLOYD was born in Washington in 1905.
