Grace Mae (Carson) Wooldridge
Date: 1906  Studio: Agnew

This portrait is third in a set of three.

Grace Carson's granddaughter Carolyn Ricardi writes:

"Frank Wooldridge didn't get along well with his in-laws so cut off the pictures of William Henry Carson and Sarah Elizabeth (Wilkie) Carson from the right-hand side of this picture."

Below is a transcript of a letter written in 1910 by Grace to her parents, in which she describes her life with Frank and their plans for the future. From the letter you get a sense of how devoted Grace was to her parents, children, and husband. It's really quite sad that they didn't have a longer life together.
