Thelma Lamb Carney Van Nostrand

Born and raised in Creston, Iowa, Thelma married Percy Carney, who was associated with the local newspaper, the Creston News Advertiser. Thelma and Percy returned to Creston after 40 years, and bought the Moonlite Motel on the western edge of town.

After their retirement from the motel business and Percy's subsequent death Thelma married E.J. Van Nostrand who was publisher of the Creston News Advertiser.
