Mervyn Agnew Anderson at age 17, posing with the harp that would eventually become her ticket to the Vaudeville stage. --David Preston
Mervyn traveled with a Vaudeville group, and played her harp while on tour with the group, before she was married to Laurel Everette Anderson in 1924. I think the dates of her Vaudeville days might be in her memoir [See 'Miscellany' Section] I have not checked on that. This harp remained in their last house on Alabama Street, in Lawrence, Kansas until the house was sold around the mid-1970s. --Julie Anderson * * * * *
